Dr. Romana Iqbal , is a dedicated and compassionate family physician with an extensive and diverse medical background. She began her medical journey in Pakistan, where she earned her fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2009. In 2013, she moved to Canada with her young family and transitioned into academia, working as an instructor of Basic Health Sciences in Calgary, Alberta.
Driven by her passion for clinical practice, Dr. Iqbal moved to the United Kingdom to further her medical career. During this time, she gained invaluable experience across a range of medical fields, including psychiatry, internal medicine, pediatrics, trauma, and orthopedics. In 2024, she completed her residency in Family Medicine and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
Now back in Calgary, Dr. Iqbal is proud to serve her community as a family physician at Temple Medical Clinic. She is a firm believer in the bio-psycho-social model of healthcare, embracing a holistic approach that considers not just the physical but also the emotional and social well-being of her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Iqbal finds joy in spending time with her family and taking care of her beloved parents. She takes great pride in her roles as a devoted daughter, wife, and mother of three children.
